How to Assess Numeracy to Improve Student Outcomes
Assessment can be a positive experience! We want all students to be numerate with the confidence and ability to use their mathematical skills and understandings to solve everyday problems, unfortunately incorrect assessment practices can demotivate students and destroy their confidence. With appropriate selection, development and use of a range of valid and reliable assessments strategies followed by timely, effective, and appropriate feedback, teachers can support all students to develop numeracy. This course is designed to assist participants to consider how assessment data can inform program planning and lead to appropriate intervention implementation
Completing “How to Assess Numeracy to Improve Student Outcomes” will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD addressing the Australian Professional Teaching Standards: 3.6.2, 5.1.2, 5.2.2 & 6.3.2 towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
